About
Alva Beer Co
Brewing History & Crafting Community in Alva, Oklahoma
Honoring History, Crafting Flavor
Nestled in the heart of downtown Alva, our historical building once served as a blacksmith shop during the 1920’s and 1930’s. As many locals in Alva may recall, the Devery family opened an implement dealership in the late 1940’s. For 80 years, Devery Implement stood as a pillar of our agricultural community, representing the grit and history of the hardworking people it served.
Over the years, generations of farmers have passed through these doors. Today, our brewery is located in this historic building to honor that legacy, preserving the history in each crafted brew by turning what those implements harvested into delicious beer.
Our Story
Our story began in college with a simple homebrewing kit gifted by our founder’s father-in-law. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, shared and nurtured over the years by him and his wife. After years of dreaming and perfecting recipes, we knew that opening our brewery in Alva was the perfect choice. Our goal is to create more than just a brewery—we want to foster a “third place” where friends and neighbors can gather, relax, and enjoy great beer in a welcoming environment. With views of downtown Alva and a spacious event area, our taproom is the perfect place to gather for any occasion.
A Commitment to Craftsmanship & Community
As proud members of the Brewers Association and the Oklahoma Craft Brewers Association, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards in the industry. What makes Alva Beer Co. truly unique is our commitment to quality and community. Our fresh, locally crafted beer, combined with artisan pizzas and a vibrant atmosphere, sets us apart.
